  Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke and his Deputy, Kola Adewusi, have taken the oath of office and allegiance.Adeleke of the PDP , is succeeding the outgoing Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress to begin a four year term as the sixth executive governor of the state. Osun Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, administered the oath on them in an event attended by many. Adeleke came into the venue in a long convoy of vehicles around 11:20am and completed taken his oath at about 11:50am. Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has conferred Justice of the Peace awards on 400 distinguished citizens, including the deputy governor of Oyo state, Barr. Adebayo Lawal, Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, the Special Adviser on Political Matters, Babs Oduyoye, and 397 others. The honour which extends to Royal fathers, Muslim leaders, and noteworthy stakeholders, also features an award in appreciation of their public services in the state. The Oyo State House of Assembly has passed into law the bill seeking to upgrade the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo to a full fledge university. The lawmakers passed the bill titled, Emmanuel Alayande University Of Education, Oyo Bill 2022, at their plenary on Wednesday.
