Aale Okeelerin Offers Free Medical Services For Over 2000 people

As part of his efforts to touch the lives of people in his community, Oba Samuel Babatunde Oyebamiji Amao II, the Aale of Oke-elerin in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Tuesday, gave free medical check-ups and treatments to over 2000 people in his community and its environs.

The medical outreach was facilitated in collaboration with some non-governmental organisations, catering to people from all age groups and religious affiliations.

Speaking on the mission, Oba Amao said the aim was to assist the government to reach out to  the sick, and the less privileged in society so that they could have access to free medicare which he said would also boost productivity. He added that people come from Oyo, Ilorin for the medical care.

He explained that the effort was planned to give back to the people, reiterating his commitment to making life easier for the less privileged in society.

According to him, society can only develop when people have good health. He added that as a result of the economic situation in the country, many indigent people no longer focus on their health.

Over 40 medical practitioners were available to attend to beneficiaries.

Some of the beneficiaries, appreciated Oba Amao for his kind gesture towards the masses; saying, if society could be blessed with people like him, we shall have a better nation.

The monarch advised the citizenry to participate in the forthcoming election in order to choose leaders for accountability.
