Tenure Extension: YNN Congratulates Surulere LG & LCDAs Caretaker Chairmen, gives them Passmark |Ogbomoso Info



Members of Youth for New Nigeria, YNN, Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State has commended all the three Caretaker Chairmen across the local government for their efforts in delivering the best of governance to their people.
In a release made available to OGBOMOSO INFO, the group while commending the caretaker charimen from Surulere Local Government Iresaadu to Surulere South and North Local Council Development Areas with headquarters at Oko and Orile Igbon respectively also felicitate with them on their tenure extension for another 6 months in office by the Honourable Members of Oyo State House of Assembly.
The group noted development like grading of roads, proactive steps against the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic, distribution of Covid-19 Palliatives among many other efforts of the Chairmen within their domain has really bring about a new dawn of governance in the local government.
While speaking , The Coordinator of the group ,Comrade Alabi Quadri Adetunji, said the Caretaker Chairmen has shown a high level of compassion for the masses and patriotism in the cause of performing their duties.
“It is really heartwarming to see that our chairmen has shown a high level compassion and patriotism in the cause of delivering their mandates to the people”
Comrade Adetunji further noted that the gaint strides they have recorded in their last 6 months stay in the office has raised the level of hope among the populace with the believe that the local government will be transformed for better.
The Caretaker Chairmen! Honourable Isaiah Adegbite of Surulere Local Government, Honourable Maarof Gbadamosi of Surulere South and Honourable Mohammed Sarafadeen of the Surulere North were all however urged on the need for urgent intervention in Agriculture,Basic Education and provision of social amenities across the local government .
While charging them to continue in their respective efforts to deliver the dividends of governance to their people, it also prayed that Almighty God will continue to guide them through in their various offices.
YNN is a non- governmental organisation with focus on youth entrepreneurship, good governance, and advocacy for a better society through accountability and transparency of government.

The Speaker of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin met the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan to deliberate issues around financial autonomy for States Assembly and local governments.
