Ex-Crown FC Player Slumps, Dies During Match in Abeokuta

Tragedy has again struck Nigerian football after former Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso Yusuf Usman Usein, popularly known as Eiye, slumped and died while featuring in a friendly game with his yet to be signed new club, Gateway United FC, on Sunday.

According to Crown FC Media Officer, he recuperated after being attended to by the team medics,but later gave up the ghost at the club camp house in Abeokuta and his remains has been deposited at the morgue.

" Eiye who also plied his trade with the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3sc) of Ibadan, was a very hardworking, easy going, loyal, very dedicated and God fearing player."

He was said to have slumped after the first half of the game.

Details of his burial arrangements remains sketchy as at the time of issuing this release.

Crown FC however pray that Allah forgives him of his shortcomings, uphold the families he left behind in this grief period and grant him a place in paradise.
