PHOTOS : Marwa Commissions 'O'1st Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Ogbomoso

Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Gen. Muhammed Buba Marwa (Retd), OFR, on friday commissioned a rehabilitation centre built by the Ogbomoso First Group initiative in Ogbomoso.

The 16-bed Rehabilitation Center named The Behavioral Action Care Foundation Centre was built by a group of indigenes of the ancient city, Ogbomoso First Community Initiative otherwise known as “O 1st Group” as part of their efforts to stem the dangerous tide of drug abuse in the area.

It is the first community led intervention on drugs in the South West Geo-political Zone.

The Ogbomoso first community initiative, 'O'1st Group is a socio-cultural organization founded 10 years ago by likeminded indigenous and friends with Ogbomoso roots, the primary objective of the Group is to advance the larger interests of Ogbomoso land in all its undertakings and at all times.

The former military administrator of Lagos state also paid a courtesy and advocacy visit to the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade Ill at his palace.
