The contemporary story of Alao Akala in all progressive Congress (APC) began in the intense surge of last elections when this political Titan like torpedo blasted and became renowned beyond the initial known quarters. Succinctly put, his name skyrocketed and landed over the Pinnacle of Aso Villa where he was called to help the then Apc gubernatorial candidate, The gallant son of the great Pa Adegoke – Adelabu penkelemesi as he is fondly called this was why Mr President called.
This political icon having been molested by a set of coalition orchestrator, relegating and limiting the name and ability of his father’s land. Meanwhile, as an illustrious son of his town, he declined the filthy offer and he aligned with those who understand grassroots ability to mobilize and get accepted, he is such a man of the people. Chief Akala considers the care and concern of the Masses invaluable and priceless to him. Though, a level apathy existed within the rank and file of the party which arose in the people towards the then immediate former governor have reached its peak.
And that’s how The winning of the Adelabu Penkelemesi was jolted to an unfathomable trance. Yet life goes on. Obviously, the plank upon which the party rest on has decayed and in the brink of dilapidation and collapse, as the people hatred continued to Budd in great degrees and the party strength keeps shrinking – a serious call for restructuring and reconciliation.
Concerned party Elders had to come to such realization, they slated date for reconciliation, which was organized by the vibrant Sen. Abiola Ajimobi of blessed memory amongst others. The meeting which was headed by Chief Akala was chosen to anchor in great regards for his matured political sagacity and discerning mind. Above all he, among others with stainless political records dotted with the euphoria of achievements.
Alas, sequentially, months after meetings a great Man fell and never risen, Oyo state All Progressive Congress (APC) lost a front Man, a gallant political soldier, the ever daring Sen Ajimobi. The whole of Oyo state was dazed in the haze of sorrow. Yet, the pendulum of who the crown fits the crown to lead the party kept rolling and rolling.
Vividly, the carefulness of the committee was felt, the could remember the day of antiquity when they nearly fell into Oblivion of the shattered party. The hope for their year of yore but yet their mind kept sorting and grading and thus they did for weeks. And a day finally came after some rumination. The name of one whose head fit the crown was announced, and he is Adebayo Alao Akala, fondly called the ATM.
A politician of unqualifiable value and icon of impeccable rating across the nation, whose years as governor will forever aglow his part with gleaming opportunities. Continuously, he has been a guardian angel or better incarnation of Midas whose hand is endowed with the power to change mere craps to the gold of shining look. The alchemist and meteor of alluring intelligence which by his leading the Party’s great rebounds is assured. He had done such spellbound reform while in Party like, the Labour party and also outstanding performance while in ADP.
Without gainsaying, he has been a decisive type from the onset: a cool-headed whose heart breath and sensitive nerves could foresee party doom and glory from afar. And by his graceful lead, all the glory and dream which seem to mere fantasy would be ascertained, in short, the party will never regret but would rather have cause to thank their star for rudder been held up by wonder and peculiar sailor.
