Chief Oyewusi Omiya, Former Ogbomoso North LG Chairman Is Dead

 


A former chairman, Ogbomoso North Local government and politicial icon,Chief James Adebayo Oyewusi, a k a Omiyaa, is dead.

The Mogaji Ikolaba Ayoola chieftaincy family of Isale Laka, Ogbomoso died on Tuesday.

The late Omiya is one of the founding fathers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state.

 Chief Oyewusi, a close ally and political leader of ex-Oyo Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, served as Chairman Health board in Oyo state.

He started his politics during the days of Akintola and Awolowo.

The Speaker of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin met the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan to deliberate issues around financial autonomy for States Assembly and local governments.
