LAUTECH: Appointment excites New Chancellor



Newly appointed Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, His Royal Majesty Onha Sergeant Chidi Awuse, has praised his appointment by Visitor to the Institution and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State. 

Speaking in his palace at Emuoha when a delegate from LAUTECH, led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Governing Council, Professor Ayodeji Omole visited him, he described the appointment as one that can never be taken for granted. University.

The Royal Majesty who extolled leadership of the Institution for finding time to felicitate him by physically coming to brief him, promised to bring about all resources in his arsenal to ensure that the recorded successes of LAUTECH are further enhanced.

He said his people and the entire Rivers people are happy about the appointment for which they will continue to be elated.

Earlier in his address, leader of the team, Professor Ayodeji Omole had thanked the Royal Majesty for accepting to join the Institution as Chancellor and prayed that God will grant him the wherewithal to lead the University to the desired destination.

He also briefed the Royal Majesty on the forthcoming Convocation ceremonies during which the Chancellor's investiture will feature on Friday April 28.

 Other dignitaries at the meeting included the Chief of Staff to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke and Acting Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port-Harcourt, Professor Okey Onuchukwu.

The LAUTECH team included the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council and Senate; Dr. Kayode Ogunleye, Bursar; Mr. Abayomi Okediji, the Deputy Registrar (Council Affairs and Legal Matters); Barrister Adebayo Adeyi, as well as the Deputy Registrar (Public and Alumni Relations); Olalekan Fadeyi.
