Plateau Assembly Suspends All 17 LG Chairmen

The Plateau state House of Assembly has suspended all the Chairmen in the 17 Local Government Areas of the state

This was announced on Thursday during the plenary presided over by the Speaker, Abok Ayuba.

Their suspension followed a motion moved by the lawmaker representing Langtang North -North constituency, Pirfa Tyem.

The motion bothered on financial impropriety leveled against the LG officials through a petition to the House.

The Speaker therefore directed the council officials to handover all government properties in their possession to the Director of Personnel Management while investigation into the allegations against them commences.
