COVID-19: Oyo Public,Private Schools To Reopen July 15th-Makinde |Ogbomoso Info




Oyo state government is working all round to ensure resumption of public and private schools on 15th of July to conclude second term and commence the third term academic activities expected to end by September.

Governor Seyi Makinde made this known to labour leaders in Oyo state at the workers day 2020
According to Governor Makinde there will be readjustment in the school calender and cancellation of long holiday is necessary so as to meet up with the school academic activities disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
He, however, declared that schools in the state may remain shut till July 15, adding that by that date, the second term could resume and get concluded within two weeks, while the third term will immediately kick off.
He said aside from the school on Air program government will intensify effort to strictly adhere to social distancing and other preventive measures to stop the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

The Speaker of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.
