Makinde Visits LTH Ogbomoso, Announces Increment of Subvention, Commissions MRI, PR Buildings Donated By Ogbomoso Pivotal Club |Ogbomoso Info

 


The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Wednesday visited the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso to commission various projects which included the MRI building with the equipment and the patients relative buildings which was donated and built by Ogbomoso Pivotal Club.


Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Medical Director and various heads of unions such as Joint Health Union, Association of Resident Doctors and others used the opportunity to talk on the challenges facing the teaching hospital and to show appreciation on the prompt payment of salaries and the COVID-19 palliatives given to the workers.


Makinde promised to commence the minimum wage with immediate effect, announcing the increment of subvention to the teaching hospital among other benefits.


Governor Makinde also used the opportunity to inspect the COVID-19 isolation center which is being constructed

The Speaker of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Thus, the taking over of the institution by the Oyo State Government is applauded by all and sundry as a pragmatic way of engendering peace.
