LIST: Names Of New Council Chairmen In Ogbomoso Zone

The Oyo State Independent National Electoral Commission, OYSIEC, has announced winners of Saturday’s chairmanship election conducted across the state.

The candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have won the 5 council areas in the Ogbomoso zone and 27 others across the state. Except in Ido local government where the election has been rescheduled for 26th May 2021.

OYSIEC chairman, Aare Isiaka Olagunju, who declared the winners during the collation of election results at the headquarters of the commission in Ibadan, the state capital.

The candidates of the party declared were: Akanji Kabir Ayoade (Ogbomoso North), Oyeniyi Timothy Oyedokun (Ogbomoso South), and Adesoye Seun Ojo (Ogo-Oluwa), Olateju Michael Alabi( Oriire), Adegbite Isaiah Alabi(Surulere).

The Speaker of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin met the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan to deliberate issues around financial autonomy for States Assembly and local governments.
