Soun Set To Celebrate 95th Birthday in Grand style

 



To Honour Senator Adeseun, Open Salawu, AVM Adigun,Others With Chieftaincy Titles

The ancient city of Ogbomoso is set to play host to prominent personalities from all walks of life as all is set for the grand 95th birthday of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade 111 CFR.

The revered monarch, who is also the Chancellor of Plateau State University, Bokkos, will be celebrating his birthday on May 27, 2021.

As part of the event lined up for the celebration, the monarch will honoured eminent personalities from Ogbomoso with prestigious chieftaincy titles.

Among those to be honoured includes Retired Air Vice Marshal Adigun, Engineer Open Salawu, Ambassador Akin Oyateru, Senator Ayoade Adeseun, former military Governor of Oyo state Gen Oladayo Popoola, Mr Samson Adegoke, Mrs Rachel Onaolapo Phillips and Mr Femi Onireti.

It was gathered that Air Vice Marshall JB Adigun (retd) will be honoured as Akogun of Ogbomoso, Senator Ayoade Adeseun  as Mayegun of Ogbomoso, Ambassador Oyateru as Gbobaniyi of Ogbomoso and Engineer Open Salawu, Babalaje Of Ogbomoso, while Mrs Rachael Onaolapo Phillips is Majeobaje Iyalode of Ogbomoso.

The Speaker of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin met the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan to deliberate issues around financial autonomy for States Assembly and local governments.
