Oyo state government has said that by the first quarter of next year there would be drastic reduction of pot holes on various roads across the state.
The chairman of the state road maintenance agency, (OYROMA) Engr. Kamil Akinlabi gave the assurance in an interview with journalists in Ibadan
Engr. Akinlabi explained that the Governor Seyi Makinde's led administration would not compromise commitment to infrastructural development of the state and has since begun interventions on roads with the aim of reducing road mishaps
Engr Akinlabi noted that though the rainy season had affected their efforts, but the agency would intensify task as soon as the rain subsides
The chairman appealed to motorists and commuters to also cultivate the habit of maintenance while plying or using the roads.
