The leaders of Trade Union Congress, TUC, in Oyo state, on Tuesday visited the Oyo State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde over the implementation of the new minimum wage.
The union also discussed workers’ welfare, training, better conditions of service & workforce casualisation in the private sector with the Governor.
This was made known by the Governor in a post on his verified twitter account.
The union led by the Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Ogundiran also urged the state government to look into a report submitted by the union on how Oyo state can increase its internal generated revenue.
The governor then assured them of his commitment towards the development of the state through industrial harmony.
He added that workers welfare is a priority of his administration.
