COVID-19: We’ll Begin Tests In Ogbomoso, Oyo,Ibarapa and Oke-Ogun Next Week — Makinde |Ogbomoso Info




The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has announced that the state will begin COVID-19 tests in other zones of the state next week.
Makinde, who is also the head of the COVID-19 taskforce in the state, disclosed this in his COVID-19 update to the people of the state on Wednesday morning.
According to him, the decision to begin tests in other zones of the state is in a bid to ramp up the testing of COVID-19 samples.
The tests conducted on COVID-19 samples in the state so far were carried out Ibadan, the state capital, which is just one of the five zones in the state.
“Also, in a bid to continue ramping up testing, from next week, we will be moving to other zones in the state to conduct tests. Details of the schedule will be provided in due course,”the governor said.
The four zones the government is set to commence COVID-19 tests next week includes Ibarapa, Oke Ogun, Ogbomoso and Oyo.
