JUST IN: Oyo Records One New COVID-19 Case |OGBOMOSO INFO|



Oyo state has recorded a new case of COVID-19, the governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde announced.
Makinde made the announcement of an additional coronavirus case in the state during his Oyo State Covid-19 Task Force Update held on April 24, 2020.
He said  “the  COvid19 confirmation test for one suspected case came back POSITIVE, today. This brings the number of active cases in Oyo State to six.
“A total of 453 tests have been conducted at the COVID-19 drive-through/walk-through testing centre at Adamasingba Stadium. Testing is still ongoing at the centre”
“Please, keep following the directives of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force. Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, regularly. Also, continue to maintain social distancing. Gatherings in Oyo State are limited to a maximum of ten persons.

As at yesterday, Nigeria has recorded 114 new cases of COVID-19, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also announced.
With the numbers of new cases in Nigeria, the country now has 1095 cases of COVID-19 cases with 32 deaths.

The Speaker of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin met the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan to deliberate issues around financial autonomy for States Assembly and local governments.
