Ajimobi: We are not aware that the Deputy Governor was coming – Media aide |Ogbomoso Info



Oyo state government delegation to the 8th day fidau prayer of the immediate past governor of Oyo state Senator Abiola Ajimobi were denied entrance by the security operatives attached to the house in Oluyole
The delegation led by the Deputy Governor Engineer Rauf Olaniyan and some commissioners waited at the gate for more than 10mins before they were discharged
it was gathered that the gathered that Olaniyan’s security confronted the people at the gate and they said , they are acting on order not to open door for them
Omolere Omoetan Media Aide to the Deputy Governor while confirming the incident said , Its true that the government delegations led by the deputy were denied acess into the venue of the late former governor
“The security men at the gate told the security men in our convoy that that is the order from Madam”. He said
It would be recall that there has been exchange of words between the family of the late former governor and Oyo state Government over the attitude of the state governor of towards the sicknesses and death of former governor Ajimobi.
Mrs Ajimobi had on sunday after the burial of her husband accused the deputy governor of the state of not making any attempt to communicate with the family during thr sickness and after the death of her husband
But the state government claimed she rebuffed attempt to assist by ignoring calls and effort to reach her to offer a helping hand
Bolaji Tunji, the media adviser to the late Governor while reacting to the claims via a statement said the Deputy Governor arrived after the prayer had started.The event was strictly a family affair.
There was a need to comply with the Covid-19 protocol as established by NCDC- Social distancing, not more than 30 people in a place and seats arranged, accordingly. After which the gate was shut.”
He said further that “No one was aware that the Deputy Governor was coming as neither the advance team nor the protocol informed us by the time we got to the gate to usher him into the sitting room, he had left. Everything happened within a spate of 10mins.”

Through a serving Senator and a former Attorney General we tried to get in touch with him that it was not to slight him and he could sit in a private sitting room provided by the family. Unfortunately, he had left. We however apologise to his Excellency.”

NECO releases 2022 SSCE external results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the registrar of NECO, broke the news on Thursday in Minna, the capital of Niger state. The 2022 SSCE for external candidates was held from November 21 to December 21. The NECO registrar said a total of 59,124 candidates sat for the examination, with 31,316 males, representing 52.96 per cent, while 27,808, representing 47.03 per cent, were female. He said 58,012 candidates sat for the English Language with 44,162, representing 76.13 per cent, getting credit and above. According to Wushishi, the number of candidates who wrote Mathematics is 57,700, out of which 43,096, representing 74.69 per cent, got credit and above. He also disclosed that 46,825 candidates, representing 79.20%, got five credits and above — irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
