Makinde Acquires New Vehicles for OYRTMA, Approves Responsibility allowance for Officers |OGBOMOSO INFO|

The Oyo State Government yesterday evening, handed over two (2) brand new vehicles to the Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA), as a replacement for the operational vehicles burnt few weeks ago at Akinyele Trailer Park, Akinyele Local Government Area in Ibadan.
The Executive Chairman, OYRTMA, Dr. Akin Fagbemi revealed this shortly after taking delivery of the new vehicles at OYRTMA Administrative Headquarters in Ibadan.
He said the purchase is in fulfilment of Governor Seyi Makinde’s pledge to fortify the Authority with brand new operational vehicles to further enhance its daily operations and cover the 33 local government areas of the State.
In his words, Dr. Fagbemi said, “while we greatly appreciate His Excellency for this great gesture towards the enhancement and smooth running of our operations, we are poised to do even more for the service of a State we so much love”.
“Our officers’ morales are high and I can assure you of more productivity from them. We thank the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde”, he said.
You would recall that two weeks ago, operational vehicles belonging to the Authority were razed by suspected hoodlums, who are since facing investigations by the Nigerian Police.
Speaking further, The Executive Chairman disclosed that the State Government has approved the immediate payment of ‘Responsibility Allowance' to men and officers of the Authority.
“It would interest you to know that just few days ago, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde approved the immediate payment of responsibility allowance to our officers and men who, on a daily basis are exposed to longer work hours and overtime. As a way of motivating them, the Governor graciously approved the allowance without delay. For this unprecedented gesture, we are grateful”, Dr. Fagbemi concluded.

NECO releases 2022 SSCE external results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the registrar of NECO, broke the news on Thursday in Minna, the capital of Niger state. The 2022 SSCE for external candidates was held from November 21 to December 21. The NECO registrar said a total of 59,124 candidates sat for the examination, with 31,316 males, representing 52.96 per cent, while 27,808, representing 47.03 per cent, were female. He said 58,012 candidates sat for the English Language with 44,162, representing 76.13 per cent, getting credit and above. According to Wushishi, the number of candidates who wrote Mathematics is 57,700, out of which 43,096, representing 74.69 per cent, got credit and above. He also disclosed that 46,825 candidates, representing 79.20%, got five credits and above — irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
