The leadership of the proscribed National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oyo State, has raised the alarm on an alleged attempt to frame them up and incriminate some prominent members of the union in crimes not committed.
The Union in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, said despite the proscription of its activities by the state government, its members have remained law-abiding by not engaging in any form of violence but rather abiding with the government decision on the Union.
The Union alleged that because of its decision to oppose the insincerity of the state government on the composition of the park management system, some unscrupulous elements are bend on framing its leadership up with the killing that never existed.
The Union maintained that the alarm became necessary not to allow what happened in the state in 2011, where some people were framed up, noting that those involved in framing some members up 2011 are those appointed by the state government to be in charge of the park management system in the state.
