Insecurity: OPC, Police Coalition will yield Positive Results In Yorubaland- Odebunmi


Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi Bunvic, Chairman House of Reps Committee on Information, National Orientiation, Ethics and Value has described collaboration between Nigerian Police and the Oodua Peoples Congress OPC in protecting yorubaland as a development that will yield positive result.

The Federal lawmaker representing Surulere /Ogo Oluwa Fededal Constituency at the National Assembly however task the leadership of the OPC to put the neccesary machinery in place to ensure smooth operation and success of the agenda

 Hon Odebunmi while speaking as a special guest at the National Coordinating Council of the OPC held in Ogbomoso said ” Inspector General’s pronouncement is a statement that OPC is a credible organization that is fighting the interest of yorubaland . He added.

He said security is about information and networking, ” the OPC members resides in the society, with thier involvement now, they will be able to embark on thorough surveilance and activities in their area which will help them and the police special squd on banditory in discovery and arresting the culprits.

Hon Odebumi stressed further that ” The south west governors should also ensure promopt provision of logistic and other necesarry support for the team.
He however commended the Governors and the Inspector General od police for deeming it fit to organise a securit summit and coming out with a concrete resolution that will chase out criminals from the region.

The Federal lawmaker however appeal to members of the OPC not to embark on jungle justice but handed over anybody found guilty of criminal offence to the appropiate authority.

In a similar development the National Coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress OPC, Aare Gani Adams said OPC members should renew their charms and be ready to to work with police in combing the forest and fish out criminals in the region .
He express optimism that OPC will corporate with other organization as a team to restored safety of lives and properties in Yorubaland.

He commended Hon Odebunmi for his commitment to his constituency and Ogbomosoland .

NECO releases 2022 SSCE external results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the registrar of NECO, broke the news on Thursday in Minna, the capital of Niger state. The 2022 SSCE for external candidates was held from November 21 to December 21. The NECO registrar said a total of 59,124 candidates sat for the examination, with 31,316 males, representing 52.96 per cent, while 27,808, representing 47.03 per cent, were female. He said 58,012 candidates sat for the English Language with 44,162, representing 76.13 per cent, getting credit and above. According to Wushishi, the number of candidates who wrote Mathematics is 57,700, out of which 43,096, representing 74.69 per cent, got credit and above. He also disclosed that 46,825 candidates, representing 79.20%, got five credits and above — irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
