Let Us Unite For Development, Adeseun Urges Ogbomoso Sons & Daughters. |OGBOMOSO INFO|







Senator Ayoade Adeseun popularly known as Solar, has charged Ogbomoso sons and daughters home and abroad to unite in order to bring meaningful development to their fatherland. He stated this while giving his keynote address at the commissioning of 'Heroes Arcade', Ogbomoso, Oyo State on Saturday, November 30 ,2019.

The Former Chairman, Senate Committee on Capital Market also said that there is no controversy that Ogbomosos are valiants looking at the track record and anticident of Ajilete sons and daughters home and abroad.



Senator Adeseun stress the need for Ogbomosos to unite and use their influence for the development of Ogbomosoland. He added that Ogbomoso is blessed with sons and daughters who are stars and great giant in all the field of human endeavours both home and internationally.

He also urges Ogbomoso indigenes to support one and another, stating that unity is the key to development.

'Heroes' Arcade' is the iniatives of Ogbomoso Valiant Club, the club was established in 2014 by serving and retired officers of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies who are indigenes of Ogbomoso, with the main objectives  as advancement of  the development of Ogbomoso.



The Leader of Ogbomoso Community Foundation, Major-General Oladayo Popoola also emphasis the need for unity among Ogbomoso indigenes for development of Ogbomosoland.

The Military Governor of Oyo, Osun further commend the effort of the club for contributing their own quota to the development of Ogbomoso by creating the Arcade and giving bursary to the indigent students.


In his welcome address the Interim Chairman of the Club, stated that the focus of the club is development. He said they honour the fallen heroes of Ogbomoso because they are good ambassadors of Ogbomoso Ajilete while alive and  their contributions to humanity and enforcing peace and unity in Nigeria.

The heroes honoured with the Arcade includes Brigadier-General Benjamin Maja Adekunle, Commodore Salaudeen Akano,  former Inspector-General of Police Chief Sunday Adewusi, Colonel Ibrahim Taiwo, Colonel Shittu Alao and Unknown Solider.


Dignatries at the events includes, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewunmi Ajagungbade 111, Soun of Ogbomosoland who was represented by the High Chief Areago, traditional rulers, Chiefs,Vice-Chairman Ogbomoso Community Foundation (OCF) AIG Shehu Babalola, Security agencies, and Ogbomoso indigenes from all works of life.

NECO releases 2022 SSCE external results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the November/December 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the registrar of NECO, broke the news on Thursday in Minna, the capital of Niger state. The 2022 SSCE for external candidates was held from November 21 to December 21. The NECO registrar said a total of 59,124 candidates sat for the examination, with 31,316 males, representing 52.96 per cent, while 27,808, representing 47.03 per cent, were female. He said 58,012 candidates sat for the English Language with 44,162, representing 76.13 per cent, getting credit and above. According to Wushishi, the number of candidates who wrote Mathematics is 57,700, out of which 43,096, representing 74.69 per cent, got credit and above. He also disclosed that 46,825 candidates, representing 79.20%, got five credits and above — irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
