Oyo State Government through the State Universal Basic Education Board has commenced sensitisation of major stakeholders on Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) programme.
Today, the team visited Ogbomoso zone, where the Executive Chairman, OyoSUBEB, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran spoke on Oyo State Government's intention to involve Quranic schools in the execution of this lofty World Bank assisted project.
He also promised that the State Government would ensure that all out of school children are well fed and they receive necessary materials for the success of the programme.
The programme was witnessed by SSA to the Governor on BESDA, Hon. Sunday Adeyanju, Full-time members of the Board, representative of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, traditional leaders, religious leaders, Artisans, teachers, students among many others.
According to Dr. Adeniran the sensitisation exercise would be extended to other zones in the State, such as, Oke-Ogun, Ibarapa, Oyo and Ibadanland in the course of the week.
