Prince Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin was born on January 20, 1979, in Lagos to the family of Late Prince Oyelakin. A Prince of the Olawusi Ruling House of Ajaawa, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. Olateju known professionally as Teju Babyface Oyelakin, is a Nigerian Comedian and Talk Show Host.
He attended Corona School Apapa, Federal Government College (FGC), Ogbomoso and the University of Lagos where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Insurance.
Teju Babyface is the creator of Minding Your Talent, an initiative to help young Africans achieve career success. He is the founder and lead mentor at the Mentorship Foundation Africa (formerly known as the Teju Babyface Mentorship Academy). He is a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador for Nigeria with a focus on Decent Work & Economic Growth. He runs a company called Visus Projects.
He started his career as both an actor and a comedian, and now produces and runs a talk show, The Teju Babyface Show.
In 1998, he got the role in Tade Ogidan's movie ''Diamond Ring''. Despite the fact that the film was successful,a member of Theatre 15. Oyelakin did not receive any more film roles. Later, he took a friend up on an offer to act as the Emcee for a departmental end of year whilst in university and henceforth focused more on comedy and was rewarded with success.

The King of Talk started on TV by bringing a fresh new twist to a genre popularized by comic idols like Daniel Letterman and Johnny Carson with the Teju Babyface Show. Years later, he has introduced the minding Your Talent initiative to help people discovered their God given talent and abilities.
Although he began as an actor and comedian, but, Teju Babyface became popular due to is TV show,Teju Babyface Show. He showed his versatile personality, sense of humor and brilliance on the show. The show also became very popular. However, in 2014 The Teju Babyface Show ended.

After some time Teju decided to reveal the reasons behind the sudden cancellation of the show. It turned out that he saw the need to restrategize this project. One of the important things he discovered is that many African countries outrun Nigeria in the field of TV show making. And then he rebranded the show and start again.
In 2016,Teju Oyelakin published the book, Secrets of the Streets: 23 Secrets for Achieving Success with Talent. In 2018 with Forget Principles, Find a Mentor: How to Connect with the People Who Will Help You Get From Where You Are to Where You Need to Be in Life.
In June 2017, Teju ' Babyface'Oyelakin launched his academy, the Teju Babyface Mentorship Academy. It is dedicated to mentoring young Nigerians and helping them succeeding in life.

In September 2012 Oyelakin took an ex-beauty queen Oluwatobiloba Banjoko as a wife. After six years of marriage, in 2018, they became parents of twins.
