Oyo Govt Warns Motorists To Beware Of Illegal Motor Advert Sticker Vendors |OGBOMOSO INFO|

Oyo state government has warned the general public particularly motorists to disregard those parading themselves as motor advert sticker vendors, as they are operating illegally.

The Director General of Oyo state signage and advertisement agency, Hon Temilola Adibi gave the warning at the state secretariat.

The Director General equally explained that some illegal persons who claimed to be officials of the agency had been going around hotels, and other corporate establishment to extort money in the name of the agency, and warned that government would prosecute anyone found culpable.

Honourable Adibi further said that the agency would from next week start an enforcement of its regulatory procedures and debt recovery but noted that officials of the agency who would be going out on enforcement would duly identify themselves.

He also stressed that the agency remain committed in contributing to raise the state's IGR, clampdown on illegal billboards and contribute in ensuring beautification of the environment but would adopt persuasion and appeal to prevail on those indebted to the state government to fulfill their financial obligations.
