Two clinical goals from Sunday Odudu gave Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso the first away win at the Agege Stadium against hard fighting ancient Stationery Stores Football Club of Lagos in the 2019/2020 Week four(4) Group B2 match fixtures of the NNL.
The classical, enterprising and tension soaked game saw the Ajilete Warriors's zeal to score early from the blast of the whistle through the pacy moves at the flanks with Adeyemi Adeyeye firing from both sides of the cylinder upfront, though his efforts could not yield any fruitful results as begging chances were wasted.
Ifeanyi Iheme left footed a lob from Ofozie Chidi in the thirtieth (30th) minutes which hit the ebb of the cross bar to put the homers on the lead.
The Ajilete Warriors, not perturbed with the disastrous goal, kept building from the defense with Moses Mustapha and Muazu Taiwo doing a yeoman job in the midfield ; perfect marking and accurate short and telegraphic passes.
An equaliser came for the goal hungry Ajilete Warriors in the thirty fifth (35th) minute when a free kick from Adeniran Babatunde's charge on Wale Farayola was curved by Muazu Taiwo and stylishly nodded pass Chibueze Obujo in goal for the Lagos based side by Odudu Sunday.
The first half ended a goal apiece.
The substitutions of Adeniran Babatunde, Adepegba Aderemi and Prince Ikegbu by the homers in the forty third,(43rd), forty sixth(46th) and seventy first (71st) minutes nearly paid off but the sharp reflexes and very good timing of Elijah Onyekwere,in goal for Crown FC, prevented the Store keepers from increasing the tally.
The injections of Oshoke Matthew, Fabode Olaitan and Barnabas Daniel for Adeyemi Adeyeye, Wale Farayola and Abbey Thompson in the sixty fourth(64th), seventy sixth(76th) and eighty second(82nd) respectively brought more life into the game with Oshoke Matthew dragging the ball upfront and accurately sizing up the home side.
The very pacy Odudu Sunday made a sharp run from the left flank passing in front of the homers defence line to clinically nod home a well tailored free kick by the same Muazu Taiwo to double the lead and win the game for the Ajilete Warriors in the eighty fifth (85th) minute.
