JUST IN: Makinde To Present 2020 Budget To Oyo Assembly On Wednesday — Adejumobi |OGBOMOSO INFO|





The Special Adviser to  Governor Seyi Makinde  on legislative matters, Honourable Samuel Adejumobi  has stated that the waiting for the presentation of 2020 budget to the Oyo state house of assembly is over as governor Makinde is set to present the 2020 budget to the house on Wednesday 27th November, it is however not clear as at the time of filing this report what the governor intends to tag the budget.

The ex -lawmaker and majority leader of the Oyo state house of assembly (2007-2011) stated this while addressing newsmen in his office today in Ibadan.

He stated that governor Makinde has assured that the budget when passed will receive immediate implementation beginning from January 2020 in order to be able to meet the yearnings of the people of the state.

Adejumo further  said that with governor Makinde as the executive governor of the state everyone knows that the era of copy and paste of figures from previous budgets that does not necessarily reflects the people’s aspirations by state ministries and agencies are over adding that it was for the rigorous exercise of budget defense by all ministries, departments and agencies of the state government that has delayed it till now.

He however assured that governor Makinde has captured the needs of all the zones in the state as shown through the budget defense exercise adding that there would be even distribution of the state resources across all parts of the state.
